MMA striking is different from traditional boxing and kickboxing. Every movement must account for takedowns, cage pressure, clinch exchanges and the possibility of grappling.

Our classes focus on practical striking that transfers directly into Mixed Martial Arts. Learn to manage distance, create openings, defend takedowns and strike with confidence under pressure.

Can I start MMA Striking with no experience?

Yes. Classes are beginner friendly and designed to help you build the basics properly from day one.

Is this just kickboxing?

No. MMA Striking includes punches, kicks, knees, elbows, movement, takedown awareness and striking for MMA situations.

What age can attend?

MMA Striking is currently open to all ages, with training adjusted appropriately where needed.

Do I need gloves?

You can start in comfortable training clothes. Gloves can be added once you are ready.

When are the classes?

MMA Striking currently runs Monday and Wednesday at 17:30, with more classes planned in the future.

Do I have to spar?

No. Sparring is never forced and training is introduced progressively and safely.

Is it good for fitness?

Yes. Striking training develops fitness, movement, coordination, endurance and confidence.

Can this help my MMA?

Absolutely. Better striking improves timing, distance management, defence and overall MMA performance.

Can I train this alongside MMA Core?

Yes. MMA Striking works exceptionally well alongside MMA Core and NoGi training.

What should I bring?

Wear comfortable training clothes. Bottled water is provided at the gym.
