PARENT QUESTIONS
COMMON QUESTIONS
BEFORE THEY START
Many parents have the same concerns before their teenager starts the Teen Pathway. Confidence, nerves, additional needs, friendships and fitting in all matter. These articles answer some of the most common questions we receive.

EVERY TEENAGER
STARTS SOMEWHERE
Some teenagers arrive confident, sporty and ready to get stuck in. Others arrive nervous, shy, overweight, socially unsure, or worried they will not fit in.
Some have been bullied. Some spend too much time on devices. Some have never committed to a sport before. Some already love combat sports and simply need the right place to train properly.
Nobody starts as the finished version of themselves. They start by walking through the door, joining the team and building confidence one session at a time.

SCHOOL LIFE, FAMILY LIFE, TRAINING LIFE
A ROUTINE THAT WORKS
AROUND SCHOOL LIFE
Teenagers have a lot going on. School, homework, travel, food, screen time and social lives all compete for their attention. Building a routine that actually works is often the difference between somebody sticking with a sport and giving up.
The Teen Pathway gives families flexibility. Some teenagers come straight from school and train before they get home. Others prefer to eat, finish homework and attend later sessions. Some train once or twice a week, while others stay for back-to-back classes and make combat sports a bigger part of their lifestyle.
Because classes run across different times and disciplines, teenagers can gradually build a schedule that works around school commitments while still making consistent progress.
MORE THAN TRAINING
A PLACE WHERE A TEEN CAN
GROW ON AND OFF THE MATS
Combat sports builds more than skill. It builds confidence, character, friendships and a support network that helps teenagers become the best version of themselves.
TEEN PATHWAY COACHES
THE COACHES BEHIND
THE TEEN PATHWAY
One of the biggest advantages of the Teen Pathway is the variety of coaching available. Teenagers learn from experienced martial artists, active competitors, specialist BJJ and striking coaches, and younger role models who started their own journeys as teenagers. Every coach brings something different to the team.
