Boxing is one of the oldest and most celebrated martial arts of all time. Also known as “the sweet science”, boxing has been refined and perfected for thousands of years. It utilizes head movements, footwork, and punches to form a very efficient striking system. This system is also widely considered one of the most effective methods for self-defense.

Boxing has been at the center of all of combat sports for hundreds of years and provided some of the most popular athletes the world as ever seen including Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Manny Pacquiao. The power, ferocity, and technical knowledge of a high level boxer in the ring never fails to amaze anyone that watches it.

These classes are for children aged 10 years and under.

Yes our lessons are designed for complete beginners or those with previous but limited experience. Do not worry about your current state of physical fitness as this will improve quickly with every lesson you attend. 

Focus on learning fundamental techniques, including proper stance, footwork, and basic punches like jabs, crosses, hooks, and uppercuts. This section ensures you build a strong foundation in boxing. Transition to bag work and pad work, where you’ll practice your punches on heavy bags and focus mitts.

Yes. You can practice at home and use our facilities during opening hours. 

Just check with whoever will be running a class, and they will be able to give you access to our bag room.

Fundaments are Everything

We have a five-tier skill-based program to help our members learn the essentials of boxing to boost their confidence and make them competent in the ring from day one. 

What do I need to purchase?

When you feel like you want to take the next step and purchase your own equipment then here is a list of the things you'll need. You can purchase these via our online shop or by visiting such places as Amazon.

It's normal to not feel good enough

It’s very normal to join a class like ours and feel apprehensive. 
Everyone is worried about fitting in, and others will be watching them. 
Of course they are going to look at you, you’re new and they are looking to come say hello. 
It takes 4-6 weeks to feel settled in any new environment. In that time you’ll see all the familiar faces, get to know the coaches, and be able feel like you can build relationships and make jokes with everyone. Remember, you have something in common with every single person in the room. 
Then, between weeks 6-12, you’ll hit a wall; you’ll feel like you like the sport, but you aren’t good enough, that everyone is progressing, and that you should quit.
All of a sudden, everything you’ve learnt will click into place. You’ll have made friends, you’ll feel more relaxed, and you’ll be able to measure how much you’ve improved. 
This is the same for everyone. You are normal; how you feel and how you feel at different times is the same as everyone else. Just talk to others, and they will share these experiences with you
